Udehra Fasteners is based at D-88 in Phase 5 of the Focal Point area. If you know Focal Point, you know it is full of industrial units and warehouses. Our place is right in the heart of all that activity. We produce various kinds of nuts, bolts, and fasteners that are used in all sorts of different industries. The machines we use have been with us for a while, and they still work great as long as we keep them oiled. We spend most of our time checking the threads and making sure the metal is up to the right standard. The floor usually has a bit of an oil slick on it, which is just part of the job when you’re making fasteners. We have a small crew here, and most of us have worked together for a long time. We know the sounds the machines make when they are running right and when they aren't. Phase 5 gets very busy when the shifts change and the roads fill up with workers. We don't have a polished lobby or a fancy reception area. You just walk right in to where the work is happening. We keep the finished products in large bins until they are ready to be sent out to customers. It is not a glamorous job, but it is necessary work. We take pride in just getting the orders right and keeping up with the schedule. It is a simple, hardworking operation.
