You can find us at SCF 95 in the New Grain Market on Gill Road. If you’ve ever been down this way, you know it’s a lot of trucks and heavy lifting. The noise from the market starts early in the morning, long before we even get the keys in the door to start the day. Our space is tucked in among all the other shops and large warehouses. It’s a busy spot with people constantly moving bags and boxes. Inside, it’s mostly just metal desks and stacks of papers. We deal with a lot of coordination between different people. Gill Road is always packed, especially during the harvest seasons when the market is full of activity. Sometimes the dust from the grain hangs in the air, but you get used to it after working here for a week. We drink a lot of chai to keep going through the afternoon. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls; it’s a functional market office. The floor is plain concrete and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we do. We spend our hours talking to drivers and making sure the logs are right. There’s always someone coming in to check on a shipment or settle a bill. It’s a straightforward way of working. We don't use a lot of fancy technology, just the basics to keep things on track. It’s a local operation.
