The Beauty Box

The Beauty Box is tucked into Dhanraj Complex at 2439/2. We are right on Ferozepur Road, pretty close to Pau Gate Number 1. It’s a good spot because there’s always something going on outside. The shop itself is small but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. We’ve got the hair stations and the places for nails and facials. It’s usually me and a couple of others working most days. We don't have a fancy receptionist; we just answer the phone ourselves when it rings. Sometimes it’s hard to hear over the hair dryers, but we make it work. We’ve been here for a few years and have seen the complex change quite a bit. A lot of students from the university come by because we are so close to the gate. It gets pretty lively in here on the weekends when everyone wants to get ready for something. We aren't trying to be some high-end fashion place. We just want to give people a decent haircut or a clean manicure. We keep our supplies stocked and the floor swept as much as we can. It’s a simple business and we like the people who come in. We’ve heard all the local gossip by now, which makes the days go by faster. It can be a long day on your feet, but seeing someone happy with their hair makes it worth it. We just do our thing here every day.
