Tarun Attachi House

Tarun Attachi House is right near Guru Nanak Bakery in Karimpura Bazar. Being in Feild Ganj means there is always something going on outside our doors. We mainly deal with suitcases and attachis, hence the name. It’s a narrow area, and the smells from the bakery often drift into our shop while we are working. We spend a lot of time moving heavy cases around to make space for customers. Most of the people who come in are looking for something to carry their things for a trip or for work. We have been here in this part of Karimpura Bazar for a long time. It’s not a large place, but we pack in as many items as we can onto the racks. Some days are slow and we just sit by the entrance watching the bikes go by. Other days, it’s a constant stream of questions about sizes and prices. We don't do much in terms of fancy displays. The suitcases are just stacked up so people can see the colors and the wheels. Dealing with luggage means you get to hear about where people are going, which is interesting. We just stay focused on keeping the shop running and making sure the inventory is decent. It’s a basic life here in Feild Ganj, but we like the neighborhood and the regular faces we see every day when we open up.
