V K B S Constructions Pvt. Ltd. has its office at 1104/6-A in Tagore Nagar. This is in the Civil Lines area of Ludhiana. It’s a decent area, quite central. The office is where we handle all the logistics for our construction jobs. We have a few rooms filled with cabinets of drawings and contracts. It’s a practical workspace. We spend a lot of time on the phone with site foremen and material suppliers. Ludhiana can get very hot or very cold depending on the season, and our office sees it all. We have a small team here. Most of us have been in the construction line for years, so we know the local regulations and how things get built in Punjab. We don’t have a flashy lobby or anyone to greet you at the door with a smile. Usually, you’ll just find someone buried in a spreadsheet or looking over a blueprint. We focus on the structural side of things. It’s about getting the levels right and making sure the concrete is poured correctly. There’s a lot of back-and-forth between the office and the various sites we have going. We drink a lot of tea while we work through the daily problems that come up on a job site. It’s just honest work. We show up, do the planning, and try to keep everything on schedule as best as we can. The furniture is old and the walls could use some paint, but it’s where the work gets done. We aren't here for show, just to build.
