Taboo Cycle Industries

Our shop is at 2910/9/A in New Janta Nagar, specifically on Street No. 6. If you know the area, you know it’s a maze of small lanes and lots of people. Taboo Cycle Industries isn’t a huge factory or anything, just a solid place where we put bicycles together. We’ve got frames leaning against the walls and wheels hanging from hooks on the ceiling. It’s a bit cramped, especially when we get a big shipment of parts in. The street outside is usually full of kids playing or people moving goods on carts. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. There’s a tea stall just down the road where we spend too much time talking when things are slow. We don’t use fancy software to track everything; a lot of it is just notes on clipboards and knowing where we put stuff. Sometimes a customer comes in looking for a specific bolt or a seat and we have to dig through a few bins to find it. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just know us from being around for years. It’s just us, the bikes, and the grease on our hands most days. We just keep building them one by one for the neighborhood.
