Gursam International

Our place, Gursam International, is located in New Sunder Nagar on that Kaccha Threekay Road. It’s right opposite the Mediways Hospital on Ferozpur Road, which is a big landmark that helps people find us. The road itself is unpaved, so it gets very muddy when it rains and quite dusty when it’s dry. We are always cleaning the windows, but it’s a losing battle. Even though the name sounds big, we are a straightforward operation working out of this spot. The office is functional with a couple of computers and a lot of filing cabinets that are probably too full. We spend most of our time on the phone or coordinate shipments that come through Ferozpur Road. It’s a noisy location because of the hospital traffic and the ambulances, but you get used to it after a week or two. We have a small backyard where we keep some of the heavier items, and there’s a stray dog that usually sleeps near the gate. We don’t have a fancy coffee machine, just a guy who brings tea in glass tumblers twice a day. The furniture is a bit mismatched because we bought it at different times over the years. We focus on the work at hand rather than how the office looks. It’s a busy spot, and there is always something that needs to be moved, checked, or signed before the day ends.
