Our shop is Shop No. 3 in the Lekh Raj Market, right on the 70 Feet Road in Sunder Nagar. It’s a good location because the 70 Feet Road gets a lot of traffic, and people are always passing by on their way to other parts of the city. We sell things for the home. It’s a small shop, and we’ve tried to fit as much as possible onto the metal shelves. Sometimes it’s a bit hard to navigate the aisles because there are boxes stacked on the floor that haven't been put away yet. We’ve been here in Lekh Raj Market for a while now, and we know most of the people who live in Sunder Nagar. They stop in for their daily needs, and we usually have a quick chat about the weather or whatever is happening in the news. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We don’t have a fancy computer system; we mostly write things down in a big ledger we keep under the counter. The shop gets a bit hot in the afternoon when the sun hits the front door directly, so we usually keep a small fan running to stay cool. It’s just a regular local business. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in the world or anything like that. We just want to provide the things people need for their houses and keep the shop running. It’s a lot of work, but we like being part of the neighborhood.
