Sudhir Forgings is located out on Kanganwal Road, right near the G.T. Road area in Jugiana. If you’ve ever driven down that way, you know it’s a lot of trucks and heavy industry. We fit right in there. Our main thing is forging, which means it’s loud and hot most of the time inside the plant. We work with metal, heating it up and shaping it into the parts that other companies need for their heavy machines. It is tough work, and the people here are used to getting their hands dirty every day. The facility isn't brand new, but we keep the machines running and the hammers going. Most of us live nearby or in the surrounding parts of Ludhiana. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures, so we just tell it like it is to whoever asks. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high, and we keep at it until the day's work is finished. The road outside can get pretty dusty with all the construction and the big lorries passing through to the main highway. We’ve been at this for years, and we know the forging business inside out. We don’t make any big promises, we just take the raw metal and turn it into something useful. It’s what our families have done for a long time. There's a certain rhythm to the work that you get used to after a few weeks on the floor. It's just simple, hard work.
