We are right out on Firozpur Road, which is one of the busiest roads you can find around here. The shop is always a bit dark inside. Shelves are stacked to the ceiling with boxes of spare parts, filters, and heavy batteries. You can hear the trucks and cars zooming past all day long. The dust from the road tends to settle on everything if we don't wipe it down daily. We mostly deal with people who are having car trouble or mechanics looking for a specific part they can’t find elsewhere. There is usually a bit of oil on the floor. The smell of rubber and acid from the batteries is pretty strong. We spend a lot of time looking through catalogs or checking the back room to see if we have what someone needs in stock. It’s a practical kind of place where we talk about engines and electrical systems. We’ve been on Firozpur Road for quite some time now. The traffic has only gotten worse over the years. Sometimes we just sit on the bench outside when it’s quiet and watch the cars go by. It’s not a fancy showroom with glass cases; it’s a real auto shop where we get our hands dirty and help people get back on the road. Whether it is a new battery or a small bolt, we usually have it buried somewhere in the stacks of boxes we keep in the back. Firozpur Road is always moving and we are just glad to be a small part of that.
