Singh Simranjit Architect

Our office is located in Vpo- Sowaddi Kalan, which is part of the Jagraon tehsil in the Ludhiana district. Being out in the village area makes our way of working a bit different from the firms in the big cities. Singh Simranjit Architect has been a local fixture here for a while. We don't have a fancy glass office or a big team of assistants. It is mostly just us working out of a simple space that serves our needs. Most of our day is spent either at the drawing board or out visiting construction sites around the district. We deal with people from all over the local area who come to us with their plans. The atmosphere in Sowaddi Kalan is quite peaceful, though there’s always the sound of tractors or birds in the background. We don't use a lot of complicated words to talk about architecture. We just focus on making sure the drawings are right and that the buildings will stand up properly. It’s a very honest and hands-on kind of job. People usually just drop by the office when they see us in, and we sit down to chat about whatever they need. We don't have a formal appointment system or anything like that. We just live and work here in the community, helping out our neighbors with their building projects. It keeps us busy enough. There's always someone knocking at the door for something.
