Singh Paramvir runs things out of Village Jhamat, which is in the Payal tehsil of Ludhiana district. It’s a long way from the polished glass offices of the city, and we like it that way. The workspace is located right in the heart of the village. It’s a simple building where we keep all our drafting tools and site records. Being the son of Ranjit Singh, Paramvir has deep roots in this community, and that reflects in how we handle our daily business. We aren't interested in sounding corporate or using big words to impress anyone. Most of our day is spent either at the drawing board or out at a nearby site checking on progress. The office usually smells a bit like dust and old paper, which is just the reality of working in a rural area. We have a couple of wooden chairs for visitors and a ceiling fan that works most of the time. People from the village often stop by just to chat or ask for advice on a small repair. We try to be useful to our neighbors and do right by the people in Ludhiana. It’s a modest way to work, focusing on what’s practical and necessary. There’s no marketing fluff here, just a local architect and his team trying to build things that last in our own community without any unnecessary drama or complicated processes.
