Simran Tyres is located out on Jaspal Bangar Road, right near the Sua Road crossing. We are at Plot No. 18. It’s a bit out of the main city center, so there is a bit more space, but it’s still very much an industrial spot. We deal with tyres all day long. You’ll see them stacked up high in the yard if you ever come visit the plot. It’s heavy work, moving those things around, especially when the weather gets really hot in the summer and the rubber smells strong. We started this as a small private company and we’ve just stayed here because it works for us. The office is just a small room at the front where we keep the books and answer the phone when it rings. The rest of the place is for the stock. We don't have any fancy brochures or a PR person to talk to the media. It's just us and the guys who help with the loading and unloading. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the mud on the road if it's been raining hard, which can be a real headache for the schedule. But we just deal with it and move on. We know tyres pretty well by now, which ones last on these roads and which ones don't. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide what people need for their vehicles. It’s a lot of manual labor.
