The office is tucked away at 5510, Raghubir Park Lane-1, right off Jassian Road in Haibowal Kalan. It can be a little tricky to find if you aren't looking for the sign. Nishima spends most of her time at the drafting board or out on the road checking on how the bricklayers are doing. We have a lot of samples of tiles and wood piled up near the entrance. It makes the floor a bit uneven to walk on if you aren't careful. The lane is usually quiet, except for when the vegetable sellers come through with their carts. We keep a small stove in the back to make tea for guests. Most of the people who come here are just folks from around the area looking to build a house or fix a leaky roof. We don't use much fancy software if a hand-drawn sketch will do the trick. The walls are covered with photos of projects we finished years ago. You can see how the styles have changed over time. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the blinds pulled down. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to chat for a minute. It’s a messy place, honestly. There are pens everywhere and the shelves are bowing under the weight of all the building codes and books. But it works for us. We know where everything is even if it looks like a disaster to anyone else.
