Sharma Eye Clinic & Opticals Shop

We are on Chimni Road, right on the main stretch in Shimlapuri. It’s a noisy area with a lot of traffic and people moving about. The shop is a mix of an eye clinic and an optical store. We have rows of frames on the walls, from the cheap ones to the ones that cost a bit more. Some of the displays are a little dusty because it’s hard to keep up with the road dirt coming in. We do the eye testing in the back room where it's quiet and dark. I’ve been looking at people's eyes for a long time now. You get to know the regulars. Some of them come in just to get their glasses tightened because they sat on them or something. We don’t charge for that. It’s just part of being in the neighborhood. The floor is a bit uneven near the entrance, so we have to tell people to watch their step. My son helps out on the weekends when he's not at school. He’s learning how to help people pick frames that actually fit their face. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. People know we are here. We have a small bench outside where the older men sit and talk sometimes. It’s a very grounded, local business. We just want to make sure people can see clearly without having to spend a fortune. That’s about it for us and our little shop in Shimlapuri.
