Shawls People

We are tucked away in Sham Nagar, specifically at No. 609/27 A on Street No. 6. It’s a local neighborhood, not a big industrial park. We work with shawls, which is a bit of a tradition for us. The space is filled with stacks of different fabrics and finished pieces. It’s not a showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workshop where the real work happens. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded with delivery rickshaws and people walking by. We’ve known the neighbors for years. There’s a certain way we do things here that hasn't changed much over time. We aren't interested in being the biggest company out there. We just like making sure the shawls are right and the colors look good. The lighting in the shop isn't perfect, but we know where everything is. It can get a bit chilly in the winter, which is ironic since we sell warm things. We spend our days sorting through orders and checking the weave. It’s a quiet life for the most part. Most of our customers find us by word of mouth or because they’ve been coming here for a long time. We don't do much advertising. We just focus on the task at hand. If you come by, you’ll probably find us busy with a new batch of wool. It’s just how we live and work in Sham Nagar.
