Sehgal Paints

We opened Sehgal Paints quite a while back on Street Number 1. If you know the area near Nehar, around 6 or 7 kilometers in, you’ve probably seen us near Basant Noorwala. It gets a bit dusty out here sometimes because of the road work, but we keep the shop open anyway. Most mornings start with moving a few heavy cans around to make space. Vihar Colony is just a stone's throw away, so we see a lot of the same faces every week. It’s not a huge place, just a regular shop filled with stacks of paint buckets and brushes. Sometimes the colors on the shelves don't match the lids perfectly because of the light coming in from the front door. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks about which shade might look okay on a damp wall or what kind of brush doesn't shed its hair after one use. It’s mostly just me and a couple of others here. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just shelves, a counter that’s seen better days, and a lot of different cans. People stop by on their way home from work since we’re right on the main path. It’s a quiet enough spot most afternoons. We keep a ledger on the desk that’s getting pretty thick now. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but you get used to it after an hour or two.
