At Satish & Co, things are usually pretty loud because of all the metal we handle. We are located at 3 Ludhiana and deal with a lot of stuff coming from Bombay Alloy Steel. It is a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the inventory is right. The yard gets dusty and the sun can be really hot when we are unloading the trucks. We started out small and stayed that way because it's easier to keep track of things. You won't find any fancy reception area here, just desks and a lot of steel stacked up. The workers have been here a long time and they know the routine by heart now. We spend most of our morning checking orders and making sure the shipments are ready to go. It’s a simple business, really. We buy, we store, and we move things along. Sometimes there are delays with the transport, but we just deal with it as it comes. Ludhiana is a busy hub for this kind of thing, so there is always something moving. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. Word gets around and people know where to find us. It’s hard work, and your hands definitely get dirty, but it feels good to see the steel moving out to where it's needed. We just keep doing what we do every day. It's not glamorous, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills for everyone.
