Our place is over at J-9 in the MIDC area of Bhosari. It is a big industrial zone and we fit right in with the rest of the factories around here. We work with sintered metal and different alloys. If you don't know what sintering is, it involves a lot of heat and pressing metal powders together. The furnaces stay on for a long time and the air gets quite dry inside the unit. We have been at this location for years. The floor is made of thick concrete to handle the weight of the presses. Sometimes the power goes out in this part of Bhosari, so we have to wait around until things get moving again. We usually use that time to clean up the workspace or check on the molds. It is not the cleanest job in the world because metal powder gets on everything, including our clothes and the walls. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters. We just focus on the alloys and making sure the parts come out the right size. Most of our days are spent checking temperatures and watching the clocks. It is steady work. We know the security guard at the main gate pretty well, and he lets us know when a truck is arriving with more raw materials. It's just a standard day for us here. We keep our coffee mugs on a shelf near the entrance.
