Sankara Eye Hospital

Out on Ferozpur Road, you will find Sankara Eye Hospital in the Vipul World Village area. It is near Bhanohar Post and the Dhaka Ludhiana stretch. Being out here in Mullanpur, it feels a bit different than the hospitals right in the middle of a big city. There is a bit more space, but Ferozpur Road is always busy with trucks and cars heading elsewhere. People from the village and the nearby post office area come to us. It is a solid building that stands there near the road. Inside, it is just what you would expect from an eye hospital. There are the vision charts on the walls and the machines for checking eyes. The waiting room fills up with people from all over Mullanpur and the surrounding spots. It can get pretty loud when several families are in at once. The light comes in through the windows and hits the rows of seats where people sit with their files. It is a practical place. We don't have any of those shiny brochures or big advertisements on the walls. It is just a place for people to get their eyes looked at. You see the farmers and the shopkeepers coming in after they finish their morning work. We keep the place clean, or at least we try to, even with the dust from the road. It is just a normal part of life here in the Vipul World Village area.
