Working out here in Phase-VI of Focal Point means dealing with a lot of dust and noise, but that’s just how industrial areas are. Our place at D-178 is usually full of boxes and rolls of packing tape. We spend most of the day coordinating shipments and checking that everything is wrapped up tight before it leaves. It’s a lot of manual work. The trucks come in and out all day, so the yard is always busy and you have to watch where you’re walking. Inside the office, it’s a bit quieter, but you can still hear the machines from the neighbors through the walls. We’ve got a small group of people who have been with us for a long time. We know the routines by heart now. Morning is for checking the overnight messages and the afternoon is for getting the containers ready. Sameer Exports International has been around the block, and we’ve seen the Focal Point area change quite a bit over the years. It’s gotten more crowded, for sure. We don’t have a fancy lounge for visitors; usually, we just pull up a plastic chair and talk over the noise. It’s practical work. We’re mostly focused on getting the orders out on time so they don't sit in the warehouse gathering dust. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment is due, ordering some food and just pushing through. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we do. We like the grit of this area.
