Out at No. 241/3 Sherpur Khurd, that’s where Sameer Agro & Motor Manufacturing Corporation is. It’s a big space because we need the room for all the machinery and parts. There’s usually a lot of noise—clanging metal, engines starting up, and people shouting to be heard over the equipment. The air smells like oil and hot metal most of the time. We spend a lot of our day in greasy overalls, working on different motor parts or agro equipment that needs to be put together. It’s hard work and it’s often very hot, especially during the middle of the day. We have a small office area where we keep the ledgers and handle the orders, but most of the action happens on the shop floor. The yard outside is often filled with bits and pieces waiting to be moved or worked on. We’ve been in Sherpur Khurd for a while, and the local farmers and mechanics know us pretty well. They stop by to see how things are going or to pick up something they ordered. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a glossy storefront. It’s just a place where things get built and fixed. Some days are slower than others, but there’s usually something that needs welding or bolting down. We just keep the machines running and get the orders out the door as they come in.
