Saini Tarnjeet Singh Architect

My name is Saini Tarnjeet Singh, and I’ve been practicing as an architect from my office at 178-A, Sarabha Nagar for quite some time. Sarabha Nagar is a nice, established part of town, and I’ve lived and worked around here long enough to know most of the streets by heart. The office isn't anything fancy, just a room with some good light and my drafting table. I’ve always preferred working this way, keeping things small and personal. When people come to see me about a project, they aren't talking to a salesman; they are talking directly to me. I spend a lot of time thinking about how to make buildings that actually last and work well for the people inside them. It’s not just about the look of the place. I deal with the structural stuff and the local regulations, which can be a bit of a headache sometimes, but it’s necessary. My desk is usually covered in pens and old drawings. I don’t use a lot of high-tech gadgets if I can help it; I still like the feel of paper. Most of my work comes from the local community. It’s a steady pace of life. I’ve seen kids grow up in the houses I helped plan years ago, and that’s a good feeling. I’m usually here from early morning until the sun goes down, just doing the work as it comes.
