S B Mahamulkar & Co

We are set up in the Doddanna Industrial Area, specifically at C-357 in Shantiniketan 6th Cross. Being in an industrial zone means it’s never really quiet around S B Mahamulkar & Co. There’s always the sound of trucks reversing or someone using a heavy tool nearby. We do a lot of the hands-on work ourselves. The floor gets greasy and we’ve all got stains on our shirts by the end of the shift. It’s not the kind of place you’d wear a suit to. We handle a lot of different requests and sometimes it’s hard to keep track of every single part. We’ve had the same old desks for years and the fan in the corner squeaks, but it works. Working in an industrial area means dealing with power cuts now and then, which can be a real headache. We just wait it out and start back up once the lights are on. It’s honest work and we don’t try to pretend it’s anything else. We spend time talking to the other shop owners on the cross when we have a break. Everyone is just trying to get their orders out on time. We don't have a fancy website or a PR person. It’s just us doing the job we know how to do. The days are long and the work is physical, but we like the routine of it. We just keep showing up and getting it done as best as we can every week.
