If you are looking for us, you’ve got to find your way into Sarpanch Colony in Ludhiana. We are at House No 15 on Strate No 6, right near the Jamalpur area. It’s a bit of a maze back here, and GPS doesn’t always get it right, but once you find the gate, you’ll see us. Ritco Logistics started out small and we’ve stayed in this neighborhood because it feels right. The office is basically part of the house, so it’s got a very lived-in feel. There is usually someone’s kids playing nearby or a neighbor stopping by for a chat. Ludhiana is a city that never stops moving, especially with all the manufacturing around here. We handle a lot of the logistics that people don’t really think about until they need it. Our desks are covered in notebooks and tea stains. We don’t use any of those high-tech automated systems that some of the big city firms use; we mostly rely on knowing our drivers and making sure they know the routes. The air is always a bit heavy with the smell of industry and the sound of motorcycles passing by. Sometimes we have to move the chairs around just to fit a new filing cabinet in. It’s not a shiny corporate environment, but it works for us and our clients who know where to find us. We just keep our heads down and handle the shipments.
