Ranjan Smriti Architect

We set up Ranjan Smriti Architect at 660, Basant Avenue, which is right next to Dugri, Phase II. The office is usually a bit of a mess with blueprints and measuring tapes scattered around. It’s a local operation. We don’t have a lot of fancy furniture or a big lobby. People just walk in, and we talk about whatever they want to build. I’ve spent a lot of time walking around this neighborhood, looking at how the houses are put together. My team and I spend most of our hours sitting under desk lamps, trying to figure out how to fit everything a client wants into the space they have. It’s a bit like a puzzle sometimes. We’ve seen the area grow quite a bit over the years. Dugri is a busy spot, and being right on Basant Avenue means we get to see a lot of what’s happening nearby. We don't make big promises or use complicated words. We just draw the plans and help people get their permits sorted out. Sometimes things go slow with the builders, and we have to go out to the sites to see what’s the hold-up. It’s a lot of back and forth, but that’s just how the job is. We are just a group of people who enjoy the process of making things stand up. If you pass by the office, you’ll probably see us through the window hunched over our tables.
