Ram Nath Malhotra & Sons

We are located right in the middle of Moch Pura Bazar. It’s always crowded and noisy around here, especially during the winter months when the wool market gets really busy. Ram Nath Malhotra & Sons has been around for a long time now. My father and my grandfather worked these same floors before me. It’s a family thing through and through. We mostly deal with wool and different textiles like everyone else on this street. The shop isn't very large at all, but we've packed every single inch of it with stock. You can barely walk through the narrow aisles sometimes without bumping into a bale of wool. We spend most of our day talking to customers who come in from all over the region. Some are regulars we've known for twenty years or more. We don't do much fancy advertising or anything. Most people just know where we are. The tea guy comes around every hour, and that’s usually when we take a small break. It's loud outside with the carts and the bikes, but inside it smells like raw wool and old wooden shelves. We keep the books by hand mostly, though we have a computer sitting in the corner now too. It's a lot of manual labor, lifting heavy bags and sorting through different grades of material. We don't mind the hard work. It's what we've always done. The market is our home.
