Raja Ram Timber Merchants (Master Doors)

If you head down to 41, Brown Road, you will find Raja Ram Timber Merchants, also known as Master Doors. The first thing you notice when you get close is the smell of wood. We have been at this address for a long time. Brown Road is a busy street with lots of traffic, but we have our own rhythm here. We spend our days surrounded by timber and doors. It is a messy job sometimes with sawdust everywhere, but we don't mind. We are not a corporate office with clean carpets. We are a timber yard and a shop. People come here when they need something specific for their houses. We talk to them, show them what we have, and try to be helpful. The team here knows their wood. We don't use a lot of fancy sales talk. We just tell people what is good and what isn't for their project. Sometimes the yard gets a bit crowded when a new shipment arrives, but we manage to keep things moving. Being at number 41 has worked out well for us over the years. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for a while. We appreciate that they keep coming back. It’s a simple business built on being here every day and doing what we know how to do best. There is always something to cut or move, so we stay busy from morning until evening.
