Punjab Steel Casting

We’ve been here at Gill 3328 for quite a while now. It’s a busy spot and the workshop stays pretty loud most of the day with all the casting work going on. You walk in and it’s just guys in boots moving heavy parts around and the heat from the furnace really hits you first thing. It’s not the cleanest place in the world because of the metal and the dust, but that is just how a steel foundry looks. We mostly just keep our heads down and get through the orders as they come in. Some days it is just a lot of grinding and checking the molds to make sure things didn't crack while cooling. The guys have their lunch out back under the shade of the small tree when it gets too hot inside. We don’t really do much fancy stuff here, just basic steel casting for whoever needs it in the area. Most of the people around here know us because of the noise or just seeing the trucks come in and out of the gate at Gill. It gets pretty chaotic on Mondays when the new metal arrives and we have to stack everything up in the yard. We’ve had the same few people working the floor for years, so we all know the routine by heart now. It isn't a corporate office, just a place where we work with metal and get our hands dirty every single day.
