Preet Verka Milk Agency & Confectionery

The morning starts pretty early for us here at Preet Verka Milk Agency & Confectionery. Before the sun is even fully up, the Verka delivery truck pulls into Hargobind Nagar and we start unloading the crates. It is usually quiet on the street then, which is a nice way to begin the day at 1348/27. Our shop isn't anything fancy, just a local spot where people come to get their daily milk and maybe some sweets or snacks for their kids. We spend a lot of time just keeping the milk packets cold and making sure the confectionery jars are filled up. Sometimes the delivery is a bit late or a fridge starts making a weird noise, but that is just part of running a small business. We have been in this part of Anand Mangal for a while now. Neighbors drop in to grab bread or some curd for lunch, and we chat for a bit. There is always a lot to do, like checking expiry dates or cleaning the shelves when things get dusty. We do not have big advertisements or a huge staff, just a few of us making sure there is enough stock for everyone. In the evenings, it gets a bit more crowded when people are heading home from work. We just keep things moving and try to make sure no one has to wait too long for their change or their groceries.
