Our place is located at 9 9th B Cross on Viseshwariah Street, right near the big Clock Tower. It is a landmark that everyone knows, so we never have to give much directions. We deal with all kinds of timepieces, from small wristwatches to the bigger clocks people keep on their walls. My workspace is a bit of a mess with tiny screws, springs, and glass pieces scattered around under a magnifying lamp. I have been doing this for a long time, and my eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be, but my hands still know what to do. The sound of all the clocks ticking at once is something you stop noticing after the first hour. We get a lot of old folks coming in with watches that belonged to their grandfathers, hoping we can make them tick again. It is slow work and you can't rush it. The street outside is usually blocked with scooters and delivery vans, making it a bit of a squeeze to get to our door. We don't have a fancy showroom; it is just a counter and some stools for customers to sit on while they wait. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to keep us company. It is a quiet kind of job, mostly just focused on the small movements of the gears. We are just here every day, doing what we know how to do best.
