Pratap Clinic

This is our clinic out in Sherpur. It is a quiet spot, away from the main road, which is nice because you don't hear the truck traffic all day long. We have been here for a good long time now, seeing many children grow up and move away. The building is an old one-story structure with a blue door that sticks a bit in the rainy season. Inside, we have a small desk and a couple of examination tables in the back. It’s just a basic setup for the folks living in and around the Sherpur area. We don't have a big staff, usually just myself and a helper who comes in the afternoons to tidy up and help with organizing the medicine cabinet. A lot of the elders from the village come by just to talk for a bit even if they aren't feeling particularly sick. We don't mind the company. The waiting area is just a few chairs under the porch where it stays relatively cool even in the heat of May. We see a lot of seasonal stuff, like allergies when the farmers are harvesting or coughs during the cold months. There isn't any fancy signage, just a small hand-painted board out front with the name on it. We prefer it that way. It’s a relaxed place where people feel comfortable coming in for help. We just take things one patient at a time and try to help out where we can without making a big fuss about it.
