Pawan Karyana Store

Pawan Karyana Store is located at 328/1 in the Punjab Bagh Colony area of Ludhiana. It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood compared to the main city center, which I like. I spend most of my day standing behind the wooden counter waiting for customers. We stock things like dal, rice, and cleaning supplies. The shop isn't very large, so if more than three people come in, it feels very full. I remember when we first moved into 328/1, the walls were fresh, but now they have some marks from where we lean the heavy sacks. Ludhiana winters are cold, so we usually have a small heater going near the stool. People from Punjab Bagh Colony come by to pick up stuff they forgot for dinner. It is a very normal routine. I spend time writing down what people owe in a notebook and making sure the jars are closed tight so the ants don't get in. We don't do any big promotions or anything like that because everyone around here already knows where we are. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late, and I have to explain to the aunties why there is no fresh bread yet. It’s just the usual daily struggle of running a small store. We just keep going, day after day, keeping the shelves as full as we can.
