If you head into Chaura Bazar and find your way toward the Sadar Bazar area, you’ll run into the electric market where Passi Electricals is located. It’s a very old part of the city, and the streets are narrow and always full of people carrying boxes. Our shop is just one of many, but we’ve been around long enough that the regulars know where to find us. We keep a lot of stock, mostly heavy-duty electrical parts and standard household things. The ceiling is high but the aisles are narrow because we have so many boxes stacked up. It’s always a bit dark inside until we flip all the display switches on. We spend our mornings unloading deliveries and our afternoons helping people figure out what kind of wiring they need for their renovations. There’s no air conditioning, just a few old ceiling fans that struggle during the peak of summer. We usually eat our lunch sitting on some crates in the back because there isn't much room for a proper table. It’s a busy life in the bazar, and there’s never a quiet moment with the shouting and the horns outside. We don’t bother with anything flashy. The sign outside is a bit faded, but everyone knows we are here. It’s just a basic electrical shop where we do our business and try to stay out of the heat as much as possible while getting orders filled for customers.
