Parveen Karyana Stores

Parveen Karyana Stores is situated at 2301/3 on Samta Road in Abdullapur Basti. This is a traditional karyana store, so we focus on the staples that every kitchen needs. We have big sacks of rice, different kinds of lentils, cooking oils, and spices. We weigh everything out for the customers, which takes a bit of time but people seem to prefer it that way. The shop is in an old part of Abdullapur Basti, and the building has a lot of character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. I’ve been working here since I was young. It’s a lot of lifting and pouring, and my hands are usually covered in flour dust by the end of the day. Samta Road is quite narrow, so things can get a bit congested outside when the delivery trucks come. We don’t use any fancy computers for our accounts, just a pen and a register. It works fine for us. Families around here have been buying from us for years, and now their children come in too. We don't try to compete with the big supermarkets. We just offer a fair price and a familiar face. Sometimes the cat from next door wanders in and we have to shoo her out. It’s just a simple, local store where you can get your monthly supplies without any fuss or bother. We're here every day.
