Pal Confectionery

We opened up Pal Confectionery on A. T. I. Road a long time ago. It's right near the Nigdi Police Chowky, so it’s a pretty easy spot for everyone to find when they’re walking by or heading to the station. We mostly sell everyday snacks, biscuits, sweets, and those little things people need for their evening tea or for the kids after school gets out. The shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot into the wooden shelves. It gets really busy in the evenings when folks are headed home from work and want to grab something quick to eat. We try to keep the glass jars full and the counters clear, though it’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. It’s just a regular local shop. We know most of the faces that come through the door by name, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We aren't trying to be a big supermarket or some fancy chain. Sometimes the old fridge for the cold drinks acts up, but we get it sorted eventually. The location by the chowky means it stays fairly safe and active around here even after the sun goes down. We just keep our heads down and serve whatever we’ve got in stock for the day. It’s a simple life running a confectionery, but it keeps us busy and connected to the people living on this side of town.
