We’ve been here at Plot No-149 for a good bit now. Dashmesh Nagar is always busy, especially being so close to Gill Chowk. Street No.1 is where you’ll find us. It’s a bit noisy outside sometimes with the traffic, but we’re used to it. Mostly we spend our days dealing with phones and cables. It’s not fancy work, just making sure things talk to each other like they’re supposed to. The shop isn't huge, but we make it work with what we have. Sometimes the tea guy comes by twice before we even notice because we’re stuck behind a desk fixing something. People from the neighborhood stop in quite often. They usually have some trouble with their setup or just need a part they can’t find elsewhere. We try to keep things organized, though the back room usually has a mind of its own with all the boxes. It’s just a few of us here doing the daily grind. We don’t have those big glass windows like the shops downtown, but we know the regulars by name. It gets dusty being near the main road, so we’re always wiping down the counters. Most days it’s just about getting through the repairs and making sure the inventory is right. We don’t do much talk, we just get on with the jobs people bring us. If the lights are on, we’re probably working on a radio or a handset. It's simple, honest work in a busy part of town.
