You can find us at D359, Phase VIII, over in Focal Point near Chandigarh Road. It’s a big industrial hub and we’ve been tucked away here for a good bit now. Nitrite Sportswear is basically a bunch of us working with fabric all day. We do the knitting and the processing under the Kudu Knit name too. The floor is usually covered in bits of thread and the sound of the machines is something you just get used to after the first week. It’s not a quiet place, that’s for sure. Most of the time we are just focused on getting the colors right or making sure the stitching isn't wonky on a batch of shirts. The area around Chandigarh Road is always jammed with traffic, so getting here in the morning can be a real headache. We don’t really do the whole corporate thing with meetings and ties. We’re usually in our work clothes, probably with some lint stuck to us. The building itself has seen better days, maybe needs a new coat of paint, but it stays cool enough in the winter. In the summer, we just keep the fans going full blast. We just handle the orders as they come in and try to keep things organized, even though the storage area always seems to be overflowing with rolls of cloth. It’s just how it goes when you’re busy making stuff for folks.
