New Payal Gift House

New Payal Gift House is located near the Suhani Building on Relief Road in Field Ganj. This area is always packed with people and the streets are quite narrow. Our shop is quite small, so we have to use every bit of space we can. We have shelves that go all the way up, and we use a long stick with a hook to get things down for customers. There are a lot of bangles, hair accessories, and small gift sets for kids. The floor is made of small white tiles that we sweep a few times a day because of the foot traffic. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit and eat our lunch. The front of the shop is mostly glass, so it gets quite hot in the afternoons when the sun hits it. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a wall fan that swivels back and forth. Relief Road is a noisy place, and you can hear the street vendors shouting all day long. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, and we often share tea in the afternoons. It’s a humble place, nothing like those big malls. We just keep our stock updated as much as we can and try to remember where we put everything. Sometimes it’s a bit of a mess, but we know where the important things are. When it gets dark, we turn on the neon sign out front which flickers a bit.
