At Neeraj Kumar Gupta & Company, we work out of our office at 110 Basant Avenue. This is in the second phase of the Dugri Urban Estate here in Ludhiana. It’s a nice enough area, a bit more residential than the industrial zones. Our office is set up simply. We have a few rooms where we keep our records and meet with people. It’s not a high-pressure environment; we prefer to take things at a steady pace and make sure everything is right. Most of the people who come to see us are from around the neighborhood or the nearby estates. We’ve been here long enough that we know many of the faces. There’s no big reception desk or anything like that. You just walk in and someone will help you. We use regular English and don't try to confuse anyone with technical jargon they don't need. Our day usually starts with a cup of tea and a look at the calendar. We spend most of our time at our desks, working through the files that pile up. It’s a modest way to run a business, and that’s how we like it. We focus on the work itself rather than trying to look a certain way. If you need something handled, we just sit down and figure out the best way to do it together. The neighborhood is quiet, which helps us stay concentrated on the details throughout the whole afternoon.
