The office here at Link Road Divisional Office No 1 stays pretty busy most days. We are right near Atam Park, so you can usually see people walking their dogs or kids playing when you look out the window during a break. Inside, it's mostly the sound of keyboards clicking and printers going off. There are stacks of papers on most desks because there is always something to file or a claim to check over. People come in through the front door all day, some looking a bit stressed about their paperwork and others just wanting to ask a quick question. We’ve got a few old desks that have been here forever and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. Lunchtime usually involves someone bringing in food and the whole place smelling like tea and spices for an hour. It isn't fancy, just a regular workplace where we try to keep things moving. Sometimes the internet acts up and we have to wait a bit, which gives us a chance to chat about the local news or what happened over the weekend. The traffic on Link Road can get loud in the afternoons, especially when the schools let out nearby. We just keep our heads down and get through the files. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows how each other takes their tea. Working here is just about doing the daily tasks and making sure nothing gets lost.
