National Conveyors India

Our workshop is on Nirankari Street No 3, right in the heart of Miller Ganj. If you know the area, you know it is full of small businesses and workshops like ours. National Conveyors India is basically a place where we put together conveyor parts and deal with a lot of heavy rollers and belts. The street outside is narrow and usually blocked by someone unloading something, so it’s a bit of a scramble every morning. Inside, it is quite noisy when the machines are running, and there is dust everywhere despite our best efforts to keep it clean. We have been in Miller Ganj for a long time and have seen the neighborhood change, but our daily routine stays mostly the same. We start with a cup of tea, look at the orders for the day, and get to work. It is not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. We are always in our work clothes, usually with some stains on them from the lubricant we use on the bearings. There is a small office space carved out in the back where the ledger sits, but it’s mostly just for storage. We don't talk much while we work because of the noise, but we know what needs to be done. It is just a straightforward, gritty kind of job where we focus on getting the conveyors moving. The rhythm of the shop is what keeps us going.
