Ludhiana is always a busy place, and our spot on Shastri Nagar Road in Model Town is right in the middle of it. If you look out the window, you can see the students coming and going from the tuition market across the street. It gets really crowded in the afternoons, which makes for some interesting people-watching while we’re working on design layouts. Our office isn't anything too special, just a place where we keep our tools and catalogs. We spend hours looking at different modular setups and trying to see what fits in a particular room size. There are usually a few of us here, arguing over where a cabinet should go or if a certain finish is going to look good under bright lights. It’s a lot of practical stuff, not much sitting around. We have to deal with the local heat and the dust that comes with being in such a busy part of the city. Sometimes we're out visiting homes, measuring walls, and making sure our notes are right. It’s easy to get distracted by the food stalls nearby, so lunch breaks often last a bit longer than they should. We don’t have a fancy receptionist or anything like that. Usually, you’ll just find one of us buried under a pile of drawings or talking on the phone with a supplier about a late shipment. We just focus on getting the measurements right.
