The English Student Centre

The English Student Centre is located at 3675/1 South Model Gram Sandhu Market. We are right opposite the Government Dispensary, so there’s always people coming and going nearby. It’s a lively area, and the market sounds often drift into the classroom. We have a few rooms set up with desks and chairs that have been used by many students over the years. The walls are mostly bare except for a few notes written on the whiteboards. We spend our days helping people get a better handle on their English, whether they’re students or just local folks looking to improve. It’s a lot of reading out loud and going over grammar until it sticks. We take breaks to have tea from the stall nearby, and that’s when most of the real talking happens. The floor is old tile that’s easy to clean, and we keep the windows open when the weather is nice. It’s not a fancy school with a big library, just a simple place where people come to learn. Sometimes the traffic outside gets loud enough that we have to pause for a second, but we just pick up where we left off. Being near the dispensary means it’s an easy landmark for anyone trying to find us for the first time. We just keep things moving, one lesson at a time, and try to make sure everyone feels okay with what they’re learning.
