Mandeep Singh Architect

My office, Mandeep Singh Architect, is over at 73-A in Sargodha Colony, which is part of New Lajpat Nagar. It is a quiet enough street most days, which is good for when I need to concentrate on detailed drawings. I have been working from this location for a while now. The space at 73-A is where all the planning happens. It is full of rulers, pens, and stacks of paper. I do not go in for anything too corporate. It is just a local architecture practice where the focus is on getting the designs right. I spend a lot of time talking to clients about what they need and then trying to fit that into a workable plan. New Lajpat Nagar is a busy part of town, so I am often out visiting sites nearby. Sargodha Colony has a nice feel to it. It is a place where people know their neighbors. Most people who come to see me are from around here. I do not use a lot of fancy jargon. I just explain what can be done and what cannot. Architecture involves a lot of small details that people do not always see, but that is the part I handle. It is a one-project-at-a-time kind of business. I like the independence of working this way. You will not find any big mission statements or marketing talk here. Just an architect doing his job in a local neighborhood office, making sure the lines are straight and the walls are where they should be.
