M. R. Builders

M. R. Builders has its main office right at Dugri Gulati Chowk. If you know that intersection, you know it is always humming with activity and traffic noise. We are right in the middle of it all. Our office is a bit small and usually smells like strong coffee and old paper plans. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and talking to guys on the phone about supplies. Most of the time, the real work is happening somewhere else at a building site, but this chowk is where we meet up every morning. We have been building and fixing things around the Dugri area for a long time. It is a tough business sometimes, especially when the rain starts and we have to stop all work on a roof or a foundation. We don't have any fancy corporate titles or big suits. We just show up in our work clothes and get the crews moving. Some days are stressful when materials don't arrive on time, but we just deal with it as best as we can. We aren't the kind of people who sit in air-conditioned rooms all day. We’d rather be on-site wearing boots and standing in the dirt checking on how a wall is going up. It’s a local operation and we take a lot of pride in seeing our buildings stand up over the years. We just keep our heads down and keep moving from one job to the next without much fuss.
