Lucky Gift Center

Lucky Gift Center is in the Shri Ram Complex on Talab Mandir Road. This is right in the Ludhiana Central area. Being inside a complex means we don't get much sunlight, so we have to keep the tube lights on all day. The shop is filled with a variety of things, from large stuffed animals to small decorative items for weddings. We have some shelves dedicated to kitchen gifts like sets of spoons or trays. The neighbors in the complex are mostly other shops selling clothes or electronics, so we all know each other well. We often share tea in the mornings. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it clean, but people bring in mud when it rains. We have a lot of items that have been on the shelves for a long time, so I have to wipe them down every few days. There is a small mirror on the wall so people can see how they look with the accessories we sell. The space is a bit cramped, especially when we get new stock in big cardboard boxes that sit in the middle of the floor for a few days. It is a quiet place for most of the morning until the shoppers start arriving in the afternoon. We just do our business and talk to the regulars who come by to see what new things we have brought in from the city markets.
