Lasertech Technologies is tucked away on the second floor of the Walia Complex. You can find us right on Dugri Road. Being on the second floor means we have to haul everything up the stairs, which keeps us in shape, I suppose. The complex is usually humming with activity from the other businesses around us. Our space is filled with the sound of the laser machines doing their thing. It’s a very specific kind of hum that you get used to after a while. We do a lot of precision work here, so we have to keep the rooms as clean as possible, even though the building itself is a bit older than some others. There’s always someone looking at a screen or adjusting a lens to get things right. We have a small area for coffee and lunch, but mostly we are concentrated on the tasks at hand. The view from the window is just the busy road below, which is always clogged with cars and bikes. We don’t go in for much decoration; the machines take up most of the space anyway. Most of the people working here have been doing this for a long time and don't need much direction. We just get the specs, set up the jobs, and let the lasers do the work. It’s a quiet, steady rhythm we’ve developed over the years. We just stay focused on the work and try to finish everything before the sun goes down.
