Laggar Industries Limited

You can find us at Sobti Nagar, right on the Pathankot Road. We’re located right near the N. H-1 highway, so there are always big trucks and buses passing by our gate. Laggar Industries is the name on the papers, but mostly it’s just a big metal shed with a lot of activity going on inside. We manufacture different items here. It really depends on what the orders are for that particular month. The office is small and it usually smells a bit like grease or metal from the workshop. We’ve been here in V. P. O. Nurpur for quite a long time now. Most of the workers live in the villages nearby and just walk or bike to work. We don't have any big corporate signs or flashing lights. Just a small wooden board near the main gate. It gets really cold out here in the winter months, so we all have to wear heavy coats while we work the machines. We don't do much in the way of marketing or sales calls. People in the industry just know we are here. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend the whole day fixing them ourselves. It’s just part of the job. We try to keep our heads down and get the production finished on time. The highway makes it very easy for us to ship things out to other cities, which is the main reason we picked this spot. It’s a practical location.
