Kscholars Foundation

Kscholars Foundation is based out of house number 1424 in Janta Nagar, Ludhiana. We are right by Bhagwan Chowk, so it’s a very busy part of the city. There is always a lot of noise from the traffic and the local markets nearby. Our office is basically just a house that we’ve repurposed. It’s got a bit of a lived-in feel, which we actually prefer over a cold office building. We have a few rooms set up with desks and chairs. The main room is where most of us sit and handle the daily emails and paperwork. It can get a bit crowded when everyone is in at the same time, but we manage. We don't have a big sign out front, just the house number. Most people find us through word of mouth anyway. We have a small kitchen in the back where we make a lot of tea to get through the day. The electrics in the house can be a bit temperamental sometimes, but we’ve learned how to deal with it. We aren't some big, polished organization with a huge budget. We’re just locals who wanted to do something useful in Ludhiana. We show up every morning, deal with whatever problems come up, and try to make some progress. It’s not always easy, but it’s what we do. The neighborhood is friendly, and we feel like we’re part of the local community here.
